ANSI-Accredited Standards Developers
The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredits qualified organizations to develop standards
in the technical area in which they have expertise.
ANSI's role is to administer the voluntary consensus standards system, providing a neutral forum for
the development of policies on standards issues and serving as an oversight body to standards development
and
conformity assessment programs and processes.
